Attached Resources
Attached Resources let you connect supporting material to selected elements within your ROI Model or Calculator.
This can help provide evidence, context or additional information alongside an important calculation or statement.
For example, you might attach supporting collateral to an Output showing a particular benefit or to Dynamic Value Text explaining the business case.
Where Attached Resources are available
Attached Resources are supported on selected ROI Studio components, including:
Dynamic Value Text
Standard Formula Output
Card Formula Output
When supported, you'll find an Attached Resources option within the element's configuration.
What an Attached Resource does
Attaching a Resource associates supporting content with a specific element in the model.
On the model, attached content can be represented using a pill such as:
Evidence Backed
or:
Supporting Resources
This gives someone viewing the model a way to recognise that additional material is associated with the result or statement.
Attach Resources to an element
To attach Resources:
Edit a supported element.
Find Attached Resources.
Select one or more available Resources.
Choose a Pill style where available.
Select Save.
Preview the model to check the result.
The configuration shows how many Resources have been selected.

Where available, use Pill style to control how the attached-resource indicator is presented.
Available presentation can include wording such as:
Evidence Backed
or:
Supporting Resources
Choose wording that accurately reflects the purpose of the material you're attaching.
For example, use an evidence-oriented presentation when the Resources genuinely support the claim or calculation.
Use a more general supporting-resource presentation when the material provides useful additional context.
Resources must already be available
ROI Studio does not provide a separate media upload library for Attached Resources.
It selects from Resources already provided for the Calculator.
If no Resources are available, you may see:
No asset links available for this calculator.
If you need to make additional material available, manage the Resource through the main Ekphrastic workspace first.
What can be used as a Resource
Ekphrastic's Resource workspace supports content such as:
PDF Documents
Videos
Presentations
These are managed separately from the ROI Model itself and can then be used as supporting material where the model supports resource attachment.

Attach Resources to Outputs
Attached Resources can be particularly useful for important calculated Outputs.
For example, a model might show:
Annual Productivity Benefit
£650,000
Evidence Backed
The attached material could then provide additional information supporting the assumptions or business context behind that result.
This allows the interactive model to remain concise while still providing access to deeper supporting material.
Attach Resources to Dynamic Value Text
Resources can also support narrative created with Dynamic Value Text.
For example:
Based on the current operating environment, automation could reduce processing effort by [Hours Saved] hours annually.
Supporting Resources
This can be useful when the statement benefits from additional explanation or supporting collateral.

Use Resources to support the business case
Attached Resources are most useful when there is a clear relationship between the material and the element they're attached to.
Consider attaching material such as:
Supporting research
Solution information
Methodology
Customer collateral
Evidence relevant to an assumption or result
Additional explanatory material
The Resource should help someone understand or evaluate the associated part of the business case.
Don't attach everything everywhere
A Resource doesn't need to be attached to every result simply because it's available.
Too many attachments can make it harder for users to understand which material genuinely supports which part of the model.
Prefer targeted relationships:
Specific result → Relevant supporting material
rather than:
Every result → Every available Resource
This makes the supporting evidence easier to interpret.
Attached Resources and Collections are different
Attached Resources and Collections serve different purposes.
Attached Resources connect supporting material directly to selected elements inside an ROI Model or Calculator.
Collections bring multiple Assets together into a curated experience that can be shared with a buyer.
Use Attached Resources when the relationship is specifically between supporting content and part of the model.
Use a Collection when you want to create a broader curated content experience.
Removing an attachment
To change the Resources associated with an element:
Edit the element.
Open Attached Resources.
Change the selected Resources.
Select Save.
Preview the model.
This changes the relationship between the element and its supporting Resources.

Preview the model after attaching Resources.
Check that:
The expected pill appears.
The wording is appropriate.
The attachment is associated with the intended element.
The supporting material makes sense in context.
The model isn't becoming overloaded with resource indicators.
Preview is particularly important when several elements have Attached Resources.
Best practices
When using Attached Resources:
Attach material only where it adds useful context.
Make sure the Resource is relevant to the associated statement or result.
Choose an appropriate Pill style.
Avoid attaching the same material indiscriminately throughout the model.
Use evidence-oriented wording only when the material genuinely supports the claim.
Manage the underlying Resources through the main Ekphrastic workspace.
Preview the experience before publishing.
