Tracked vs Untracked Links
When you share content from Ekphrastic, you can choose whether you want engagement activity from that share to appear in Buyer Engagement.
The difference is simple:
Tracked link — use when you want to measure engagement.
Untracked link — use when you only need to share the content.
When to use a tracked link
Use a tracked link when you want to understand what happens after you share your content.
Activity associated with a tracked link can appear in Buyer Engagement, including:
Sessions
Engagement time
Interactions
Intent signals
Tracked links are useful when engagement with a particular share matters and you want to review that activity later.
When to use an untracked link
Use an untracked link when you want to share content without collecting Buyer Engagement analytics for that share.
Activity through an untracked link does not appear in Buyer Engagement.
An untracked link may be appropriate when:
Engagement tracking isn't required.
You're sharing content informally.
You only need a convenient link to the content.

Multiple tracked links
You can create more than one tracked link for the same ROI Model, Resource or Collection.
Each tracked link has its own engagement history.
For example, if you create separate tracked links for different opportunities, activity from each link can be reviewed separately in Buyer Engagement.
Creating a new tracked link does not replace previously created tracked links.
What a tracked link identifies
A tracked link identifies the link through which activity occurred.
It does not independently verify the identity of the person using that link.
For example, if you send a tracked link to one person and they forward it to someone else, subsequent activity is still associated with the same tracked link.
Keep in mind: Buyer Engagement tells you what happened through a tracked link. It should not be treated as proof that a particular individual performed an activity.
Collections and tracked links
Collections can also be shared using tracked links.
When someone opens content from within a tracked Collection, Ekphrastic can associate supported activity from that content with the Collection's engagement history.
This lets you understand engagement across a curated set of ROI Models and Resources without creating a separate tracked share for every item in the Collection.
Which should I choose?
Choose Tracked when understanding engagement after sharing is valuable.
Choose Untracked when you simply need to provide access to the content and don't need Buyer Engagement analytics.
If you're unsure and the content is being shared as part of an active opportunity, a tracked link gives you additional engagement information that you can review later.
